| Lexis This is one of the old standbys
in the field of legal research. It is basically American oriented
but in recent years they have added more international resources.
This is a pay site. Rumor has it that recently they have been
offering a one time "spot" price to complement their monthly fee
packages.
Westlaw Westlaw, the famous law
book publisher, has been online for several years. It is Lexis'
chief competitor and offers a similar range of services.
Findlaw One of the first free legal research
engines. Impressive and extensive collection of laws, once
again with a concentration on American law.
Lawcrawler A sister site to Findlaw
with the same professionalism and even more resources.
Law Guru We suspect, but have not
confirmed, that there is no actual "guru" nor any comments
or eastern spiritual practices on this law related site.
'Lectric Law Library Our favorite site
because (1) it's free and (2) the people behind the website appear
to have survived a legal education without having become too psychologically
impaired.
Hieros Gamos No it is not a sandwich
that you eat a Greek restaurant. It is an unabashed and commercial
true legal mega-site.
